Academic Qualification
WAEC / NECO graduates (Minimum of 5 credits including English and Mathematics):
WAEC or NECO results alone are not sufficient for direct admission to a German university. You will need either:
- At least successful university study in Nigeria, or
- Completion of a Studienkolleg (foundation year) in Germany.
ND / HND holders:
A recognized National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) may qualify you for admission into a Bachelor’s degree or, in some cases, credit transfer, depending on the university.
Bachelor’s degree holders:
A completed Bachelor’s degree (preferably with Second Class Upper Division or higher) qualifies you to apply for a Master’s degree or another Bachelor’s program in Germany.
Language Requirement
For German-taught programs:
You need proficiency in German (B1–C1 level), which we also offer if you don’t have the experience.
For English-taught programs:
You must provide proof of English proficiency.
Proof of Finance
Blocked Account (Sperrkonto): €11,904 (approximately ₦20 million) per year — for the 2025 requirement.
Sponsor in Germany: A Verpflichtungserklärung (formal obligation letter) from your sponsor residing in Germany may also serve as proof of financial support.
